Key Responsibilities

  • The Cage Supervisor is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the casino's cage or cashiering department. This includes overseeing cashiers, ensuring compliance with gaming regulations, maintaining accurate financial records, and providing excellent customer service to guests.
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests’ service needs, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
  • Supervise cage staff, including cashiers and other support personnel. Provide guidance, training, and performance evaluations to ensure efficient and effective operations.
  • Use the casino system as directed and as necessary.
  • Compliance with federal requirements regarding Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorism requirements, CTRC’s, SARC, Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons List, BSA, FTC, OFAC, Privacy of Information Act. Must comply with all BSA/OFAC and AML policy and procedures as well as PRTC Regulations.
  • Oversee all financial transactions within the cage, including cash handling, chip transactions, and issuing markers. Ensure accuracy in all financial transactions and compliance with internal controls and gaming regulations.
  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; and complete safety training and certifications.
  • Implement security measures to prevent theft, fraud, and other illegal activities within the cage. Monitor surveillance systems and work closely with security personnel to maintain a safe and secure environment.
  • Prepare daily reports on cage activity, including cash counts, transactions, and variances. Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and reconcile discrepancies as needed.
  • Train new employees on cage procedures, policies, and regulations. Provide ongoing training and development opportunities to improve employee skills and performance.
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as accounting, security, and gaming operations, to ensure seamless operations across the casino floor. Communicate effectively with other supervisors and managers to address any issues or concerns.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support team to reach common goals, and listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.

Qualifications

  • Hospitality oriented
  • 1+ year of experience in a supervisory role within a casino or similar environment.
  • Able to handle difficult situations effectively.
  • Strong knowledge of casino operations, including cash handling procedures and gaming regulations.
  • Ability to prioritize and organize a variety of tasks and responsibilities.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all Casino employees as well as casino suppliers.
  • Fully Bilingual (English/Spanish)
