Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning and execution of banquet events, ensuring all details align with guest expectations and service standards.

  • Collaborate with the Banquet Manager to develop event timelines, floor plans, and staffing needs.

  • Supervise, schedule, train, and review banquet staff, providing guidance and support to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during events, addressing requests and resolving issues promptly and professionally.

  • Oversee the setup and breakdown of banquet rooms, ensuring compliance with safety, cleanliness, and presentation standards.

  • Monitor inventory levels of banquet supplies and equipment, coordinating orders as needed.

  • Liaise with other departments (e.g., Sales, Front Desk, Culinary) to ensure smooth communication and flawless event delivery.

  • Assist in preparing event budgets and forecasts, monitoring expenses to remain within established guidelines.

  • Ensure compliance with all food safety regulations, sanitation practices, operational standards, and company policies.

  • Promote a professional and collaborative work environment by maintaining positive relationships, upholding professional appearance standards, and supporting team goals.

  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.

  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.

  • Assist in any other duties as assigned by upper management.

Qualifications

  • Hospitality oriented 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Banquet or Event Management, preferably in a luxury hotel setting.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • Excellent verbal / written communications and skills
  • Proficient in event management software and Microsoft Office.
  • Must be able to handle the pressures of simultaneously coordinating a wide range of activities.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Fully bilingual (Spanish and English).
