Responsibilities

  • Ensures exceptional guest experiences through outstanding service and an exquisite wine program.
  • Oversees daily restaurant operations, ensuring seamless service and a superior dining experience.
  • Supports the General Manager of the restaurant in executing restaurant policies, procedures, and goals.
  • Handles guest inquiries, concerns, and feedback with professionalism and a commitment to satisfaction.
  • Assists in scheduling, inventory management, and financial reporting.
  • Maintains a clean, safe, and welcoming environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborates with kitchen and front of house staff to ensure smooth communication and service flow.
  • Assists with the menu development, recipe development and food preparation for the designated outlet. 
  • Develops beverage programs within the parameters of the restaurant agreements. 
  • Manages the performance of the outlet service and management staff. 

 

  • Develops and executes creative initiatives to enhance the guest service experience.
  • Verifies that the outlet staff performs according to Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), Occupational Safety and Health Association (OSHA) and regional Alcoholic Beverage Commissions guidelines.
  • Ensures the quality levels of food & beverage products and maintains quality standards in production, services, facilities and guest satisfaction.
  • Knowledgeable of management functions and can communicate with all levels of personnel and guests.
  • Conducts staff training and refresher for all F&B personnel as per restaurant standard.
  • Maintains cleanliness and sanitation levels to Health Department requirements.
  • Curates and maintains an extensive and diverse wine list, ensuring selections complement the menu and appeal to guests.
  • Provides expert wine recommendations and pairings, enhancing the dining experience.
  • Conducts staff training sessions on wine knowledge and service techniques.
  • Manages wine inventory, including ordering, receiving, and proper storage.
  • Hosts wine tastings and special events to engage guests and promote wine sales.
  • Stays updated on industry trends, emerging wines, and new producers to keep the wine program innovative and exciting.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an Assistant Manager and/or Sommelier in a fine dining setting. Minimum of 5 years of Fine Dining experience
  • Certified Sommelier designation preferred
  • Deep knowledge of wine regions, varieties, and food pairings
  • Must have refined skills in public relations
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Must have computer skills (Excel/Word/PowerPoint)
  • Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and follow-up skills
  • Kitchen/Outlet/Financial background a must
  • Must have knowledge of POS Systems
  • Ability to organize multiple projects; manage and prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Fully Bilingual (Spanish/English)
