Responsibilities

  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests’ service needs, and thank guests with genuine appreciation.
  • The Count Room Clerk performs a variety of clerical duties and any other duties not necessary of accounting naturebut essential to the operation of the casino.
  • Count, sort, and record currency and coins from various casino operations, including slot machines, table games, and other revenue sources.
  • Verify the accuracy of funds by reconciling totals with the documented amounts.
  • Process daily cash deposits.
  • Posting daily journal entries.
  • Reconcile tickets (TITO) reports.
  • Accurately document all counts and discrepancies, preparing reports as required by the Soft Count Supervisor or Manager.
  • Assist on any others duties and/or functions assigned which are not compatible with the functions performed in theCount Room.
  • Use the casino system as directed and as necessary.
  • Compliance with federal requirements regarding Anti-Money Laundering and Anti-Terrorism requirements, CTRC’s,SARC, Specially Designated Nationals and Blocked Persons List, BSA, FTC, OFAC, Privacy of Information Act.
  • Adhere to all gaming regulations and internal controls to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws.
  • Report any suspicious activities or irregularities to the Soft Count Supervisor immediately.
  • Work closely with other soft count clerks and department staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Follow all security protocols to ensure the safety and integrity of the count room and its operations.
  • Must be able to stand or sit for extended periods, handle large amounts of currency, and perform repetitive tasks with accuracy.
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets.
  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager; and complete safety training and certifications. 
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support the team to reach common goals.
  • Assist other employees to ensure proper coverage and prompt guest service.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as by supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Hospitality oriented
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with counting machines and basic computer software is a plus.
  • Must comply with all BSA/OFAC and AML policy and procedures as well as PRTC Regulations.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license, pass a background check, and be able to work in a secure, confined environment.
  • The role may require working early mornings, weekends, and holidays depending on the casino’s operational needs. Must be able to work at 4am shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Fully Bilingual a Must (Spanish/English)
