Responsibilities

  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards, anticipate and address guests’ service needs, and thank guests with genuine appreciation. 
  • Handle all duties according to hotel policies, procedures, internal rules, and standards.
  • Knowledgeable about daily hotel operations, check daily event sheets, bulletin boards and be up to date with all changes, new procedures, and events.
  • Receive and mark baggage by completing and attaching claim checks.
  • Transfer luggage, trunks, and packages to and from rooms, loading areas, or vehicles, by hand or using baggage carts.
  • Greet incoming guests and escort them to their rooms.
  • Guide guests about premises and local areas.
  • Supply guests or travelers with directions, travel information, and other information, such as available services and points of interest.
  • Explain the operation of room features, such as locks, ventilation systems, and televisions.
  • Assist travelers and guests with disabilities.
  • Pick up and return items for laundry and valet service.
  • Inspect guests' rooms to ensure that they are adequately stocked, orderly, and comfortable.
  • Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe working conditions to the supervisor;.
  • Complete safety training and certifications. 
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others, support the team to reach common goals. 
  • Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
  • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.

Qualifications

  • Hospitality oriented 
  • Valid Driver License.
  • Must be able to lift to 60 lbs. on a regular and continuing basis, push and pull carts/equipment weighing up to 250 lbs., be able to bend, stop, squat, and stretch to fulfill cleaning and luggage handling.
  • Must be able to withstand hot/humid temperatures performing physical duties.
  • Able to handle difficult situations effectively.
  • Able to work quickly and efficiently, especially under pressure.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Fully Bilingual (Spanish and English)
